ERIC L. RISBERG, ASA
President
Advanced Appraisal International, Inc.
Business:
Mr. Risberg is the owner of Advanced Appraisal International, Inc. Prior to
starting his own company, he provided real estate appraisal services
for American Appraisal Associates, Inc.—the world’s largest independent
valuation consulting firm, with offices worldwide. He has
nearly 15 years of appraisal experience.
Valuation:
Eric has appraised property in 30 states for over 400 clients including 15
Fortune 500 companies, and served on a foreign assignment.
Specific properties he has appraised include high-rise and suburban office
buildings, shopping centers, apartment complexes, industrial
facilities, hotels, waterfront properties, right-of-ways, easements, ground
leases, subdivisions, resort properties, golf courses, and has
extensive experience in land valuation.
He has provided consulting services to a variety of top legal professionals and
law firms, and has provided expert witness testimony
on complex property valuation matters. The firm is able to work on large-scale
nationwide or smaller local assignments.
He has appraised hundreds of properties in the San Francisco Bay area and over a
billion dollars of California real estate since the 1990’s.
Special projects over the years have included: participation in the valuation of
over 200 investment-grade properties for a major U.S. Life
Insurance Company; determining the value of over 50 hotels for an international
hotel firm REIT, and, the valuation of high-rise office
buildings in Los Angeles, Chicago and San Francisco.
He has appraised these properties for: purchase, sale, corporate planning, ad
valorem tax, estate planning, financing, donation,
arbitration, litigation, mediation and allocation of purchase price. He has
provided opinions of market value for sale in the open market and
in-use.
